Lessons I’ve learned from Cancer: Focus
Lessons I’ve Learned From Cancer: Focus
What I’d like to talk about today is the power of cancer. It has really caused me to focus on the things that are important.
• Focus in 2021
I think, in 2021, when I’m writing this, there is a giant thought process or a way of thinking that we can multitask or we do many things.
All the studies show that basically no one can multitask, and especially men. From a focus standpoint, stop multitasking! Boil it down to one, two, or three things that are very important to you, and focus on those things.
• Focus on one or two things
It’s kind of what we have learned that has been critical, from a cancer recovery standpoint. The cancer treatment standpoint is focused only on the things that are going to move the needle and are helpful for you. Everything else is just noise, therefore it gets very simple.
I think from a burnout recovery standpoint, as you focus on these one or two things, you can ignore 90% of the noise.
The universe has gotten very small for us during some of these treatments, and I’ve learned to focus only on those things you can control, and only the things that are going to move the needle and help get you better.
Better from cancer, obviously, and recovered from burnout.
So, move your needles.
Focus very highly and put all your energy and effort into those things that’s useful for us.
