Can’t Put Down Your Phone?

How can I stop my phone addiction?

“It’s 100% easier to increase your time and freedom by eliminating the dumb things you do every day than to try to be 100% more productive doing more dumb things.”

Let me give you one tip that will give you at least two hours and 22 minutes back in your day, every day. You may say, “I don’t have time to exercise or do [X].” I have one suggestion: Put down your damn phone. According to Nielsen, the average smartphone user in 2018 spent two hours and twenty-two minutes per day on their phone.

And I don’t mean using the phone talking to patients or other medically related tasks. I am talking about time spent on non clinically relevant tasks such as social media.

♦ Feel better

Improving yourself makes for better decision making, which then makes you feel and perform better, which then improves your decision making. This is a positive, never-ending, upward spiral. This process is something that will take work, effort, and commitment.

♦ Have extra time

What do you think you could accomplish in two hours and 22 minutes? Start a new hobby, spend more time with family, time a moment to relax?

♦ Improve your life

If you are not now intentional about your life, and are burned out, you need to explore the journey through and past burnout to recovery.  We know that burnout is real, damaging,  and has significant mental health effects, including depression and suicide. It is treatable, and there is help!

In today’s video, I am sharing with you how to stop your phone addiction.

It’s very easy, and I’m only going to tell you this once and I think you’re going to remember it.

You will be amazed the amount of time you have in your life to recover from burnout.
